I am running a Windows 2008 Terminal Server with NFS Client Service running.  I can mount the NFS share on the Terastation with no problem, but it appears that every file is owned by 'Everyone' and that if I do not grant "other' all access (read/write/execute), I can only create and delete files and directories - I cannot read the file or change to a new directory (interesting that I cannot read the file but can delete it?!)

I would really like to use the 2008 Active Directory Unix User ID and Password synchronization but cannot find any reference to how to use this with the Terastation.

Is there any documentation on how to make the AD integration and/or permissions to work properly?

As has been covered previously the Active Directory functionality allows the users and groups to be populated to the NAS, however specific read only/read write permissions can be granted at the root level folders of the NAS.  Furthermore, sub directories cannot have user specific permissions as the NAS simply doesn't understand the instructions that the server is giving for those folder restrictions.  I hope this answers your questions.
