WebAccess 3.x user validation problem

Hi all

 

I recently upgraded my LS-CHL-V2 from 1.21 to 1.33, which means that I also have upgraded web interface from version 2 to version 3.1.

Before the upgrade, I could link to a single file requiring authentication and the users got a pop-up box with user login.

After the upgrade, users no longer the pop-up box and can not open the file. Do any of you have a solution to the problem. (Or a workaround)

Oh - I forgot to tell you that the problem is the same for all browsers.

 

I think the problem is that in version 2.x you got a pop-up boks when you logged in to the web-interface, this is not the case in version 3.x. In 3.x you are presented with at page containing a link for login.

Yes I know.

 

But the problem is when I make a link directly to a file in a user-restricted area, e.g. http://ipaddr/share/index.html.

I'm using the NAS server as a kind of web-server :smileyhappy:

Since these devices weren't really meant to be web servers I don't think there's much advice that I could give.
