I am tidying up my TeraStation Pro to give to my son and have found a folder (and its files) that won't delete from within windows with the message "you need permission to perform this action". The folder is located within the share called SHARE and other folders have been deleted without problems.

It refers to Unix User\root to make the changes. I have tried ftping using admin account but can only see the array.

How can I delete this folder (with the share).

Thanks in advance - Terry

If you want to deleted everything in the share then just delete and recreate the share itself within the GUI.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebsireland.com and we will get it fixed!

Thanks - I looked at doing that but it seemed to be some sort of system created share, so it can be deleted and recreated without losing anything that is dependant on that share existing?
