I have just purchased an HD-WLU3R1 with a view to setting up a single 3TB RAID1 volume on Mac OSX 10.13. I contacted Buffalo's Tech Support on how to change the partiton map from MBR to GPT (MBR limits volumes to 2TB) and was told I could do this with the Buffalo Utility as supplied - this does not appear to be the case! I have now managed to change to GPT using Win 7 disk utility and using the Buffalo Utility on the PC allows me to set up a 3TB volume formatted as NTFS. When I now go back to the Mac I need to format the volume as HFS+ but when I do so the Buffalo Utility limits me to a 2TB volume!

Buffalo have stated that they are unable to reproduce 'the problem' on their test Mac, whatever that means. I asked of they had been able to create a 3TB volume on the Mac but they haven't responded. Their only response now is to say that it is a Mac OS problem and offer no futher support - pretty poor in my opinion!

Would much appreciate any views, advice etc...
