Linkstation Stuck on DHCP

My linkstation original set a Static IP of 192.168.x.2... Ran fine... Now it is not recognizing anything and I scanned the IP range and found it at 192.168.x.105... from DHCP. So, I tried to access the linkstation via http://192.168.x.105 and nothing comes up... I cannot get to my linkstation and I see it has an IP... Can I reset this thing? Will it delete my files if I reset it?

By performaing a factory reset you data will not be accessed or harmed in any fashion.  If the problem continues, try to put the unit into EM mode and update the firmware.

OK, I reran the firmware updater and it fixed the issue. Now I still cannot connect to the server from the outside via webaccess... What do I need to do with my router to make this work?

forward the port you selected for web access to the local IP of the router, and RTFM (page 82)

What firmware are you using? If its a version 2 Linkstation and your using firmware 1.31 then go for Extensions => Web access => Modify Settings and you will see an internal and external port, select 9000 for both then forward this port on your router for TCP to the IP address of your Linkstation.
