Hello, I've got a USB/Ethernet HD-CE640LU2-R.  I was in "ethernet mode" to copy my 7GB Outlook PST file from laptop to NAS drive before formatting my laptop and doing a clean install of Windows 7 and all the other stuff. The copy completed, and I compared the size of my original and destination folders to make sure that the copy was successful.  It appeared to be successful, so I proceeded with formatting my laptop to do the clean install, however...

I started by copying 7GB "outlook.pst" from laptop into folder named "backup" on NAS.  I wound up with a folder on NAS called "backup", containing a new folder called "outlook.pst", and inside that folder are two files named "1" and "2", the first about 4GB and the second about 3GB.

It turns out, though NAS drive split my 7GB Outlook PST file into two parts.  Someone else in 2008 experienced something similar with no help available from Buffalo.  Perhaps a solution has been developed since then.

Is there any hope?  You can imagine what a setback it is to not have this data.

*thanks to all who can help!*

This is down to the file system on the "Nas" (FAT32) not being able to handle files over 4GB correctly. There is no work arround.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
