Good Day to all readers :smileyvery-happy:

I have a Buffalo portable hard drive model PE500U2 (500Gb) that has been partitioned into two different segments - more or less 2 / 3 and 1 / 3 respectively.

During a procedure that move available space from the lager of the two partition to the smaller the computer rebooted before the procedure terminated and now only the first partition is accessible. The process of moving available space from one partition to another did NOT entail moving the data but rather removing the available space from the 1st partition and adding it to the second partition.   The Formatter option displays both partition the 1st still accessible via Windows Explorer but will NOT display the second partition as it requires formatting as confirmed by the utility Formatter.

I believe the information is still available but not accessible solely because the procedure (moving free space from one partition to another) did not terminate correctly due to my laptop rebooting prior the end of the procedure.

Thanks to all who will read this post and assist me in resolving this problem.

There's nothing we can directlry support with for an issue such as this. You may want to look into some third party data recovery program such as UFS Explorer.
