I'm currently using Windows Media Services on a Windows 2003 Server to stream videos out over our WAN.  Does anyone know if the Terastation Live will allow me to stream video out across our internal network?  Or is it restricted to webaccess or to a DLNA certified media device?  Media Server sounds as if it would do what I need it to, but the documentation leaves me with doubts.  Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Just a week ago I bought a Tvix 6500 media player. I have a Linkstation Live, Linkstation Pro Duo and a Linkstation Live II and they all are able to "Samba share" music, photos and videos within my home LAN. I have not found much about these media server features in any documentation, therefore I was pretty happy to find out that it just works. So, I don´t know if Terastation would do the same, and with which equipment you need in the other end. I think this Samba share is Linux stuff, so maybe some open way to transfer data between Linux boxes.
