I'm using a Terstation Pro 1GB TS-HTGL.RF with firmware version 1.33

I just moved to this after my other Terastation developed some issues that I was advised by buffalo may mean it was becoming unstable. I'm trying to get the USB backup option to work as the network backup is less then reliable. I'm using a Seagate Freeagent 1 TB external drive with the powersaving features disabled.

The backup run on schedule but does not appear to copy anything but the root directory and then the folder names. It does not copy the folder contents, not good, not good at all. I'm thinking it might be a file permission problem but I have no way to show this nor do I know the best way to fix this. Please help, I don't have a backup of my users data at this point!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance for any help...

Make sure the usb drive has been formatted to xfs through the buffalo gui to set up proper jobs to the usb hard drive.
