I have a TS-2.0TGL/R5 BUffalo NAS system and have noticed it always seems to be running at full power. Is there any power down ability on these machines? Perhaps a patch or BIOS upgrade? Is will likely damage the hard drives after a while if they are constantly made to spin at full speed and the fan makes a bit of noise running non stop. Anyone with any ideas out there would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jotin

There are no options for a sleep mode with this unit and this unit is legacy product and most likely will not be seeing a firmware upgrade.

Ok then, i have found some places that provide information on how to hack the terrastation so i will probably just go down that path and sort it out myself.

Thanks
