Hi,

I attempted to physically format my HD-CE1.0TU2 (1 Terabyte) after if kept giving me errors and failing to transfer files.

After a failed physical format (caused by a power blackout) the drive is not recognized when connected.  The computer's plug and play function makes the nice 'do ding' sound, but other than that nothing.  Under device manager I get "USB Mass Storage Device" with the yellow exclamation mark.  When I double click the device: 'This device cannot start. (Code 10)'.

Any tips?  I got the data off the drive before formatting, so it's good to go for a format, yet I can't find a way to format it because it isn't being recognized.

Thanks in advance,

Tal

go to start, then right click on computer or my computer, then select manage, then go to disk management and see if anything like "disk 1" or the usb drives model number.  See what you can do with it there, if nothing try plugging it into another computer, if that doesn't work and if it's withitn a one year warranty period and you have the receipt then we can get you a replacement.
