Hi

I have a 1TB LS-CH1.0TL, worked on PC a few years ago, now tried to connect it to iMac. I installed NasNavigator2 and connected the Linkstation to my iMac with USB cable. Somehow I could not see it as a hard disk from my iMac at all. Tried to connect it through ethernet,

could not see the device either.

I tried to connect the Linstation to my PC, a WIN8, could not see it too. I could hear click sound of the hard disk spins though.

Do I need to update the firmware to setup it? For USB connection what I can do? Any method so I can make sure it still works (because have not been using it for a long time)?

Your helps will be greatly appreciated.

The USB port is for connecting USB hard drives to your Linkstation and not for connecting your linkstation to your computer.

I see, I used the USB port a few years ago on PC, I thought it was directly connected to PC via USB.

Now I did use a network conneciton (Ethernet port) to connect my Linkstation, but still could not see from NasNavigator, wonder what I can try?

Thanks

Check the manual and look for error codes.

Check if you have a blinking light.

Which color, code?
