I use Gmail, pop3. I had a problem with it a month or so ago which has been solved. In the process I set up two-factor authentication. Maybe that's why I am no longer getting notifications of my    LS210D.

I also see that when I look at the settings, my password shows up as too long but when I look at it in edit view, it is fine.

I also noticed that the Gmail outgoing smtp server port should be 587. It was 465.

One other thing that may be causing it, I cannot put my name in the recipient name. The edit window won't allow that. I do select it and see that entry listed but I wonder if it is really selected.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

John

PS I would attach a pic but I don't see how to do that...

Thanks. I got that set up. The Linkstation didn't give me an error when it sent the test e-mail but I never got the e-mail. So I rebooted the Linkstation. Tried it again. No error. No e-mail. Tried it again. Got an error from the Linkstation that an error had occurred. It has save the new login.

Now what?

Here's how I have mine set up:

SMTP Server Address:smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port:465
Sender Address: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Authentication Type: LOGIN
POP3 Server Address: Not configured
POP3 Port:110
SSL/TLS:SSL/TLS

Yay. That did it. I changed the port to 465 and it worked.

Thanks!
