NAS Client Login Credentials

Here is my setup:

 

Local Area Network contains computers and a Buffalo LinkStation LS-CHL-V2 storage device firmware version 1.21.  In my original setup, one of the computers was a file server which held the user accounts for each of the other computers on the network.  When any one of the computers tried to access a shared folder on the server, they weren't prompted for a username/password combo because their credentials were already stored on the server.  However with this NAS, even though I have the usernames and passwords correctly set up with permissions, I'm still required to provide a username/password combo.

 

Here's what a typical attempt looks like:

 

* Username is "haha", password is "youwish"

1) Try and map a network drive to \\buffalo-nas\shared\

2) Get an error stating "password is incorrect"

3) Get a prompt asking for username (enters "haha")

4) Get a prompt asking for password (enters "youwish")

5) Done.

6) Remove network drives

7) Repeat procedure (I still get prompted for username/password)

 

Why is it asking me for credentials which should already be sent (and are correct)?

 

AMMENDMENT: The config didn't let me put in user names with spaces, so I had to change the user names after the fact on some of the computers (what was once "P.O.S Master" is now "POS_Master").  I don't know if that affects anything, but it's probably best I mention it anyways.  On each computer I checked the system variable %username% and it's returning the correct value - so I really don't know why this isn't working.
