Please help!

We have had a few power cuts and now my LS-CH500L will not successfully boot.

Sometimes it will come up with the power light constant blue and the function light continually flashing.  Or it comes up with the power light flashing red for 6 times.

I have tried doing the factory reset but I never mange to get further than the flashing lights. (by holding down the function button when powering on)

Any suggestions?

ps. Does not show up in NASNavigator so I don't know what version the firmware is.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If your don't know version of the firmware. Could you remember that. Before you access the web admin menu color is red or blue.

If blue color you need a to download firmware version lower than 1.2 to update.

If red color, you can use to firmware version 1.21.

PS. Do not update the wrong version it will not be turn on the power.

Try the TFTP boot. If it works and serves the block of data back then you can load the firmware.  Usually if you cannot update the firmware or run the TFTP boot then its a pretty strong indicator that the HD has failed.
