I have 7 red light on my LINKSTATION PRO DUO, this seems to be knew as a motherboard problem.

I haven't the warranty so it's supposed that i will have to make this unit repair.

What should i do?

The error code depends on which hardware version you have.  Do you have one or two USB ports on the unit?

If you have 2 then that is correct, if you have 1 then there should be a pattern of long and short blinks

i've just bought this item from a boy in germany which has dropped the two hard disk before selling me the unit. 1. I've paid 160 euro for an empty box (don't know if this is a good price then) 2. he told me that i need to put a couple of hard disks on the machine and i can use which hard disk i want are these information right ?

lsegalla

please let me know something... could you answer to my two questions?

You cannot replace the MOBO or any other componet other than the Hard Drives.  You need to load the boot image which you can get from the TFTP boot.  After that you will need to flash the firmware.

I didn't understand where i can find the boot image...
