Drive was powered down for 3 weeks.  Restart succeeds in identifying IP address and the existance of the 4 hard drives (total of 4Tb).  Drive cannot be accessed through web-based interface.

You need to update the firmware on the unit.  Make sure that you have the Nas Navi Client Utility if you do not then go to buffalotech.com/support/downloads and then choose by product your unit.  Download verison 2.22 if you dont have it and then  you should see now the firmware version 1.33-1.32 .  Please note that you will not lose data when updating the firmware.

Thank you for your prompt response.

I have model HS-DH0.0TGL/RS.  The closest update is HS-DH1.0TGL/RS.  Is that the correct update?

The update software finds my drive on the network.  When I try to install that update, I get the message:

"Couldn't confirm that a partition exists on the TARGET.  Updater will format the TARGET and will update the TARGET.  ***All of data will be lost***

Do you want to format and update the target?"

I am reluctant to proceed since I don't want to lose any data.  Do I have any options that will save the data?

You will not lost any data during the update of the firmware.  Yes that is the correct model number.
