remote access doesn't work with restricted acess: works only under anonymous mode, Please help!

I have tried everything I can for two days, I have tried every setting in the webaccess menu, use inherited permission folder, have have set up users for my dad my brother and me, and the only way remote access works is if I am using anonymous acess mode, my brother lives pretty far from me, and I had him search for my nas at buffalonas.com and he was able to find it and download test file from my nas but only if I allowed anonymous access, i can't get the restricted access working for the life of me, everytime I try to use a login to access my nas remotely I get username and password popup and after three tries I get "401 Unauthorized" error, ofcourse if I want my brother to pick up a file I will alow anonymous acess for a while he downloads but no way in hell I am leaving it unprotected, I have forwarded ports.

 

Please note that remote access works only with anonymous access. MY DRIVE IS LS-XHL 1.5TB AND FIRMWARE IS 1.10

 

AND PLEASE READ MY POST BEFORE ANYONE ADVICES ME TO FORWARD PORTS, BECAUSE I ALWAYS GET PEOPEL WHO ARE TRYING TO HELP JUST RESPONDING TO MY THREAD TITILE IN FORUMS, NOT THAT I DONT APPRECIATE YOUR HELP, WHICH I GREATLY DO, BUT TELLING ME TO DO SOMETHING I HAVE ALREADY DONE DOESN'T HELP ANY, ANYWAYS THANKS FOR EVERYONE WHO HELPS. I REALLY LOVE THE UNIT, IT IS PRETTY FAST AND WORKS FLAWLESSLY. OTHER THAN RESTRICTED REMOTE ACCESS.

Alright I have finally resolved it, it finally started working, may the buffalo server finally updated or something but it works now, and finally I it is fully fledged nas server now. I don't know how to mark the thread as resolved or don't even know if I can, but a mod can do it.
