Buffalo Terastation Pro - How to use / set up issues

I was given years ago this Terastation. I nver got around to use it... Last try...

I plug the terastation to my PC via a LAN cable. NAS navigator 2 software  shows the device and the even name of the company that the terrastation came from.
To me both devices are connected... However, I can t access any of the 4 drives.
I really don t know where to start...
Can anyone please help.
