I have a Linkstation Pro Duo that I just bought and I have been trying to update to 3.10 firmware and the utility never finds the device. I tried to modify the utility to force it but that does not work either, utility does not take the mod. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that you have the version 3 hardware.  If you have 1 USB port then you have the version 1, if you have 2 then you have the correct firmware.  Just make sure that all of your firewalls are disabled.
