Invalid Serial # when trying to dowload updates

I was trying to dowload updates for my HD-cx500u2 drivestation but everytime I enter my serial number it says its invalid :-(

I have experienced a similar frustration with the Linkstation Live LS-CH1.0TL-US.  The serial number is always invalid.  Others were told to go to the appropriate world region website.  My unit is North American (-US in the model number) and the serial number is deemed invalid.

 

It looks like Buffalo Tech has a problem with this web interface.  Too bad,  I like the Buffalo products and am a bit disappointed in this failure.
