Backup Issues LS-WXL/R1 to LS220D

LS220D Version 1.75-0.05

We purchased the LS220D because we have reached over 80% full on the LS-WXL/R1. We have two shared folders on the LS-WXL/R1, the plan is to move one folder to the LS220D, leaving plenty of free space on both drives. I set up a backup from the browser interface, start it and the status shows "Running" but this log is immediately generated:

I don't know how to debug based on that error message. I have FTP and SMB enabled on both units. What other settings do I need to look at?
