After much frustration with the device randomly available on my network, I disconnected it and set it aside.  Now, I need the storage and have reconnected it to the network but am unable to access it from any machine on my network (Win XP as well as Vista).  I can't get to it with the NAS Navigator or via the web.  I had assigned a static ip address to it but am unable to find it.

Any advice on how to find my nas device?

Find a port scanner (they are available as freeware), connect directly to your LS (with red cable) and you will find which IP it is on. It is probably in the range 192.168.xxx.xxx so try that first.
