Linkstation Pro Duo - Disk Write Error & System logs

I set up my LS Pro Duo to send me emails of any errors. I got an email from it recently with very little detail.

 

The subject just said DISK Error Notification:Error:Write Error

 

The mail body said HDD Error occurred, together with some basic system info.

 

Is there any way of finding more info on what has happened here ? In the documentation, there is reference to a menu called "Log information" under the System Status Tab on the web admin screen, but this does not show on my system.

 

I've done a disk check which did not report any errors, but this concerns me a little and I'd just like some more details on the error.

If it passes a disk check that means it is unable to find any bad sectors or any other issues with the drive at that moment in time.  If this occurs occasionally and you still cannot find an issue, I would backup all your data, Force Firmware Flash the device and then delete the raid array and rebuild it, then reinitilize the device and then put files back on it.  You do have a one year warranty if your device does find an issue with a specific disk or the device itself as a controller issue to some extent.

However, can anyone explain where the system logs can be found ?

 

As I said on my previous email, the Logs menu is not visible on my web interface despite being shown in the product documentation.

 

I've looked under every single menu option as far as i can tell, but there's no sign off the logs. Surely this device must keep logs ?
