I applied the above listed Firmware Update to my Terastation.  Although the Link/Act light is on I cannot access the Terastation.  When I browse for it through the client utility or Internet explorer cannot be found. The client utility reports the following: Host Name: HD-HTGL-EM; Work Group: blank; IP Address: 192.168.11.150; Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0; Firmware: --.  I have also tried pinging it no luck.  Any suggestions?

I would recommend doing another force firmware flash.  Looks like the device doesn't have the firmware on it.

If it doesn' t take the firmware across the network, you can try connecting to the device directly with a cat5e or cat6 cable.  Also you would need to set a static ip of 192.168.11.5.  Once you get the firmware on the device it should be back up running.

I did everything you suggested without any success. I keep getting a message that the Terastation cannot be located.  Any other suggestions.

Hi All!

I have just bought a old one. I have only board so I'm using the board with ATX power. There is not any HDD is attached toh board. I will buy at the fureture when I get more money :D

Now my board can not still boot.  NASnavigator could detect the board but now it can not longer. I don't know why. Now :

- if I press power button, ATX fan will only operate for 1 second , and then power loss.

- if I press INIT button and power button at the same time or release and then press again, ATX fan will run forever:D, mpc chip is quite hot but NASnavigator can not detect at all.

I connect board with ADSL router(D-Link). Computer NIC has 3 IPs: 192.168.0.5 , 192.168.1.3 , 192.168.11.1

I'm using windows XP SP3, English version.

Now is too late. Tomorow, I will make a cross cable. I intend to connect board directly with computer.
