I recently had my linkstation stop working.  After slaving each drive one at a time, I found that neither the bios or windows on two seperate computers would recognize one of the drives.   While one of the drives seemed to be entact, I was able to copy all my data off of it.

One of the drives was not working, so I purchased a new 500GB hard drive with the same model # and replaced it.

Following the directions from the top of the forum I have:

I booted it into EM.

I tried upgrading the firmware.

I tried forcing an update of the firmware.

At this point I was able to get to the web admin, in which I clicked the button to restructure the raid array.  That was last night.

Today it is still not working.  I can barely do anything in the web admin, it is very slow.

The red light is blinking on one long time, then 3 short times.

What should I try next?

After a while I'm able to get it in NASNavigator and this information is there:

Error:
E13:Error has occurred at RAID array 1. (2009/10/30 21:55:31)
information:
I255:An unknown error occurred.  (2009/10/30 21:56:58)

I can make it to Disk Management in the admin:

What should I do?

Kameran

It sounds like it's trying to rebuild the raid array.   Could take around a day for that to happen.
