HI,

i want to sell my Linkstation Live, how can i Format the Disk safely and nobody can restore my Data?

best regards

There is no way to securely wipe the data so that it cannot be recovered through our firmware.  The disk erase option is the closest thing to it (and will at least make the data difficult to recover).  You can contact the third party data recovery company that we recommend for a secure wipe.  http://www.drivesavers.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.drivesavers.com

Only way to be a hundred percent sure that no data can be recovered.  Is drive disaseembly and destruction of parts.  A format will stop most from getting the data, but a data recovery company would be able to recover a formatted disk a lot of the time.
