Hi

I am running a 1TB LS-XHL Linkstation Pro over a wired Ethernet connection.  I have a fairly high spec'ed PC and running firmware version 1.1 which I believe is the latest.  I have just copied over an 18GB Itunes library over and I am getting a transfer speed of just 1.36 MB/Sec.  This seems unbelievably slow - how does this compare with the speeds others are getting for this or similar devices?  Any ideas of how I could boost performance?

I am running Windows 7.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

Please respond with your network specs.  Router, cabling, possible switch, nic card.

Hi

Thank you for your reply.  My router is a BT Home Hub 2.0.  I am not 100% sure of the actual cabling other than it is ethernet cable and I don't know how to distinguish between different catergories I'm sorry.   My NIC card is an Intel 82566DC Gigabit Network Connection.  I am using powerline network adapters - but these are capable of streaming live HD television so I do not think the bottleneck is with those.  I have used two seperate sets of powerline adapters (both different makes and models) to check that the issue isn't with those.    The ones I am using currently are Comtrend 902 adapters - that should run up to 200mbps.  I hope this helps!

Hi

Having checked the cables they are CAT 5E.  I have also changed the cables around with other CAT 5E cables and this makes no difference.
