Hi!
I am new to NAS. I built a Linkstation 520d with Toshiba N300 8TB. I swapped the harddrive into the NAS and fired it up. Fine so far. Made the basic configuration. Since i dont need RAID i deleted the array an formated the harddrive to get a simple disk.

Now i have permanent access on the harddrive. The harddrive makes noise every second as if something is written to the drive. Really anoying. Tried to stop every single service already.

Also, 386.5GB of the storage is used. I have not copied one single data to the harddisk. Don't know what this is....

How can i stop the permanent access to the drive and how can i get the full space of the harddrive back?

Thanks for help in advance!

Best regards!
