I have had this system working for a long time now and I love it.  However, I was uploading to it through my network from an older computer when the computer crashed.  I was unable to access the Terastation after the computer crash.  I tried from several different computers on my network but was unable to access the Terastation.  I powered the Terastation down and back up.  On powering back up a solid red light appeared on the panel and the unit LED says: RAID array can not be mounted.  There are 5 beeps when the error occurs.

I have searched the forums and documentation and found error states and descriptions for blinking red lights but no information on the meaning of a solid red light.  I can access the admin software via my network just fine, it shows all hard disks as empty.  A "disk check" from the menu system provides no errors or additional insight.  I tried an EM boot and there was no change in the state of the system.  Here are more details on the system and the error:

I can access the unit through my network from various computers running either Vista or Windows XP.  Attempts to access the drive itself fail.  Do you have any suggestions for remounting the RAID system?  ..or have a reached a point where I must go for 3rd party data recovery?  Thanks in advance for suggestions/advice.

You could try to reflash the firmware again, or a force firmware in safe mode with networking.  Also you can try to pull out one drive at a time and power device up (cold swap) to see if you can narrow down a bad drive.  Raid 5 should let you run off of three drives to get back to  your data.  Try multiple machines, a direct connection with a static set to pc.
