LinkStation Pro Duo and Hard Drives "Sleep Mode."

I like everything about my LSPD, except the fact that the hard drives never sleep (as far as I know).  I think a HDD sleep mode is important if I want to leave the NAS on all the time. There is an "auto" mode, but it is not of much help because I like to stream content from the NAS to my media player without my computer being on.  Is there a chance that this issue might be resolved with a firmware update?  Or, is there another way to modify the unit (via software) in order to make the HDDs sleep?

Unfortunately, that model does not have the disk sleep feature, and there is no way to modify it that I know of, and any modification would void the warranty. I will forward your request for that feature to our corporate office.

I'm like Charles, I would like to see a sleep mode for the LinkStation Pro Duo. When I turn my computer off, I still hear the drives going. I think all NAS should have a sleep mode to save wear and tear on the drives to make them last longer :)

Thanks.
