Is there any way to configure Linkstation EZ (on ethernet) for Time Machine backups (or SuperDuper backups)? Each looks for a drive.

configured time machineto use a registered user when connecting to the target disk (our lscl).
  • Solution  create a user as normal in the linkstationgui, move that new user to read/write in the access restriction setupfor the share, the in time machine go to preferences (not 100% sure ifpreferences was the specific section), change disk, when you areselecting which disk to target (in this case the ls cl) there is anoption to use a registered user, once we chose this we could enter theusername and password we created in the ls cl gui, and after this wasfinished we created a new backup job that worked without a problem.
