LS-500GL trashbox is still active after being disabled

I followed advice from this forum on disabling my trashbox. I used the web app and disabled therecycle bin for my share. Upon deleting files from the share, they continued to appear in the trashbox. I cycled the linkstation off/on. I checked the configuration:recycle was disabled. Files continue to show up in the trashbox as they are deleted from the share. Any suggestions? My info is below:

Linkstation is hardwired via ethernet to linksys wireless router

   Try using the initialization feature in the GUI.  You will find this under maintenance.  This will reset just the configurations to default.  It should not touch your data.  You will have to set up the device again (users, passwords, etc.).  It is also might change the IP address of your device so you want to make sure you have nas navigator installed on the computer you will be accessing it with.

Followed your instructions and re-initialized the drive and set it up again using the web interface. Trashbox was deleted and disabled for the share. The trashbox was recreated on my next backup and deleted files were copied there.
