TFTP firmware needed for TS-XE4.0TL/R5

Hi,

I lost the HDD and now the NAS is showing TFTP E06 Boot Image Missing. Please need the firmware ASAP. The ftp site is not working.

Unfortunately the firmware  files are not available on buffalo's website. If someone has the files please provide a link where I can download it.

I have already tried this and it doesn't work. NAS reboots as soon as TFTP starts copying the file. Seems like I need the older firmware first. NAS is looking for uImage-88f6281.buffalo file. I renamed the file from this firmware but it doesn't work.

uImage-88f6281.buffalo should be inside the firmware, you shouldnt need to rename anything. Did you unzip uImage.img?

I unzipped the Firmware File ts172zip and got uImage.img file.
I tried Winzip to open uimage.img file and got error"Invalid Format or Unsupported file"

Both Firmware File from 171 and 172 same error.

I haven't used Winzip since the 90's and couldn't tell you why it would fail.

7zip works very well for this purpose (i've used it for these exact files in the last couple months).

Finally got it up and running.
Firmware 1.66
had to rename the img files to zip and got the files unzipped.
Took 30+ tries to format the drives and reinstall the firmware but finally Succeeded. ;)
