ls420 mac support

i got a ls420 and was re syncing my volume. and i also updated to firmware 1.84

now whenever i access my share on any of my macs , the directory listings just don't retrieve. i can get the root directiory
but when i go down the sub directories, this stops and i can't access the files.

i think its the firmware's fault? my macs are running high sierra 10.12.6

i think i should try going back to firmware 1.81, but i don't know where to get it

when i try vlc for iOS version 3.0.3, i can access the ls420 and everything is fine.

i think this might be cause afp in the 1.84 firmware is broken. not sure


i dunno what to do. i can't call support because of course my nas is more then 90 days old
