error message my LS-W1.0TGL/R1-V3 Series

I am getting an error message that says Status: Emergency Mode, update the firmware or contact technical support.

I found the firmware for the device, actually there are 2 versions of the firmware one says it will only work on units with 3.XX firmware and the other says it only works on units with 1.XX firmware.  NAS - Nav2 identifies mine as a V3, does that mean the 3.XX firmware is what I need.

Also the online instructions say do it by connecting through windows, I can no longer connect to my device through windows.
