Question about Drivestation Flexnet auto mapping

1) Include the model number of your product. Buffalotech has a variety of Linkstations, Drivestations, and Terastations models. Different models have different feature sets.

2) Include the firmware revision.1.47

3) Include information about your computer, network, etc. Simple 6 station XP network managed by Kaseya

4) More details are better than less details for people trying to help solve your issue. I am trying to use the drive managed by kaseya BU server.  When I try to map to the flexnet it says that it does not support letter drives only UNC or physical drives.  This is fine but what is the username and password for the unit to use UNC?  Or can I change the drive to a local physical drive for the kaseya bu agent to use via formatting the drive in NTFS?

First and foremost formatting to NTFS will not be an option as the operating kernel that controls the NAS functionality will become inoperable.  The default user/password is admin/password in my recollection. Also, when you're mapping do you map by the NetBIOS name or the IP address?  Please post back :)

   I am just using the bios name.  I will try that user name and password.  I do not think i can use the ip address but will try..  thanks for the feedback.

You can use the IP, just type in \\IP in the run command
