I'm new to this forum as I recently bought the aforementioned NAS.  It came with a WD green drives and was wondering if replacing all of them with the WD Red (for NAS) 4TB would be okay.  I did a search but nothing came up.  TIA

It's doable, especially now before you have too much data on it. You'll need to delete the RAID array and replace one drive at a time. Each time you put a new drive in, format it. Once you have 4 new drives in it create a new RAID. Obviously the new drives would not be covered by the system warranty.
