I bought a Buffalo LinkStation Duo LS-WXL in 2011, and it hummed along just fine until this week when a drive failed. I replaced the 1 TB drive with a new model that is much thinner, but it still fit the unit. After rebuilding the array, everything is back to normal. It is so satisfying when something works like it should!

Yes, to be fair it is a good unit. I've got an LS-WVL that has been going strong since 2010/2011, still used for daily backups from my server.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
