Buffalo LinkStation Mini stopped working with MAC 10.5.7

Hello,

 

My drive has stopped working with MAC OS X, 10.5.7 . Worked perfectly prior to this update.

 

It shows up in the Navigator and browse network and direct IP search. The drive asks for the login, shows the files on the drive, but the drive won't mount and I cannot access the data.

 

Mac OSX 10.5.7 

500 GB LinkStation

LS-WSGL6B5

Firmware 1:03

Try going to go > connect to server and type in smb://IP of linkstation.

I tried that. I can get the drive to come up, but it will not mount or allow access.

 

Any other ideas?

If its not mounted it won't show files.  How do you mean it shows the files on the drive?

The drive shows up in my browse network. It shows up in my IP browse too. 

 

When I try to open the drive it shows my file subsets, info, media, share, back up. Thats how I set up the drive. Then when I try to go into any directory, it says

"The volume "xxx" could not be mounted."

 

This wasn't an issue prior to 10.5.7. Also, i have no problem accessing the drive through a PC.

There doesn't seem to be a problem with the 10.5.7 update and the mini.  I just tried it on ours and it worked fine.

   Hmmmm... do i have the most up to date firmware?

No, the latest is 1.06, I believe.  That would be a good first option to try.  If you still don't have any success you could try initializing the unit.
