How to view SMART data on drives inside Linkstation?

dont think there's a feature on the web interface, and not sure u can pull them out connect them to a computer and check.

You certainly -can- pull them out and attach them to a machine to look at them with a tool like Crystal Disk Info. Just don't format them, like windows will want you to do.

Oh, and adding this, I don't want to make assumptions. Shut your machine down and don't power it back up until you've returned the drives to the chassis.

If it's an older NAS, it likely will not have an easier way to run SMART data.

Oh Okay.. wasn't sure u could just power down the NAS, pull the drive out, put in a hard drive USB dock and use CrystalDisk to read SMART data
