I just purchased a Link Station Duo and can not play any MP4 or MKV video files on my Sony smart DVD player. I can play those files if played from my computer to the Sony DVD.

Can someone help.......... seems to be a common issue but can not see a resolution!

Some videos files like MKV, VOB, MTS, etc are not supported by DLNA at the moment. In usual, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4 are the typical supported formats by DLNA. Therefore, you can go to Google to find a tool to encode your MKV/MP4 to Link Station supported formats.

Some video formats are incompatible, like mkv, mov, but mp4 is very common in our daily life. So, you can change the formats to the one that it supports, such as converting avi to mov. Good Luck.
