Reboot, leave for 10 minutes, dont press any buttons.

Does the power LED go solid or continue to flash? Does the amber or red LED come on at all?

Does the NAS Navigator software find it?

Hi Davo,

Thank you for coming to the call most welcome :)

I did as you said, and from the point of switch to the power light glowing steady
    no amber light came on.

The V2 software thank you for that, sees the drive no problem at all, click on drive
it asks for username and password, which I cannot give..

Shared folders -> select the share you want to access -> Disable access restrictions at the bottom of the page -> Save.

Unmap any shares you have on the PC -> Reboot the PC then try and access the share via the NAS Navigstor again.

Hi Davo,

Yes I completed what you said, rebooted, but when I double click the linksys line
it brings up this login window headed Windows Security, Enter Network credentials
enter your credentials to connect to FIREFOX (Firefox is the name of the drive in Linksys)

Am I missing something Davo or is there something I have not done in the Web admin

All the best and thank you from Aln

You can also just access the data as admin/password.

http://www.buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/download/LS-WXL_UserManual.zip to research how to disable access restrictions on a share.
