I have not seen this anywhere on this site so....

We are not a big company so we never had a need for a tape drive backup, we use Veeam B&R and used to have these backup files go to a physical server. When that server needed to be replaced, we decided to go to this and we now have our backup files going here and everything is working great. Management now wants data exported to an external HDD and have that HDD taken off site weekly and on a 6 week rotation. no problem right? That's what I thought.

I can't seem to come up with the right way to copy the Veeam files to a HDD that is connected to the USB port on the back of the Buffalo. I have tried a few different ways but always end up copying more then I want ever day.

What is the right way to get the Buffalo to copy files to an USB HDD so that it only copies the files on the Buffalo, or perhaps wipes the HDD first before a file copy? I tried setting up a retention, but that failed as well.

Could really use some help please.
