What is the procedure to upgrade the drives in an LS420 chassis?

First, backup the data. Because there is no way to increase capacity and retain the data.
So, finish backing up the data.
Once the data is backed up, delete the RAID array. By the way, that will delete the data, so I hope you backed it up.
Once the array is gone, shut down the unit and replace one drive. Doesn't matter which one.
Boot the unit and format the new drive. Once the format is complete, shut the unit down and replace the other drive.
Boot the unit and format the other new drive. Now you should have two, larger, freshly formatted drives.
Now, create a new RAID 1 array. Once that's done, you can create your shares.
Now, restore the data from the backup.
You did back up the data first, right?
