First, I want to complain to this forum about Buffalo updating DD-WRT firmware without making any identifying indicators so one can tell what version is really running. I spoke to customer service on this and got the cold shoulder.  The problem is that the version v24SP2-MULTI (11/04/12) std - build 20180 is indicated the same as the so-called 20180b revision on the Buffalo web site indicated there as "pro-v24sp2-20180b" with a date of 2014-10-01. If one flashes this version there is no indication that it is different from the previous version 20180. In fact, it reports the version once installed as 20180 and not 20180b !!  This is plain crazy. This a support nightmare! Yet Buffalo has not addressed this.

Second, this update (20180b) has caused https web administration interface to stop working. The http works however.

Firefox browser reports "sec_error_invalid_key", offers no options and fails to present a web page from the router.

Numerous reconfigs using the http web interface turning off https access and back on makes no difference.

It is just plain busted for https.

This is a serious problem since now I have no method to access the web admin from the WAN side of this device.

I agree with you .. I was checking to see if I had the latest update and I'm sure I do because it's from 2014 and I know I updated a few months ago .. but there's no proper indication.

As for https and the firefox message, this isn't buffalo's fault .. it's due to a change in firefox SSL security.. this effected numerous websites I host because I was lacking the intermediate certificates.

The issue is the certificate installed on the router is a self signed certificate and is invalid by nature.. you'd have to buy a certificate and some how install it for that to go away.. there's a way of turning off that security in Firefox but I can't recall off the top of my head what it is..  that update probably happened coincidentally around the time you upgraded your firmware

And god, the captcha on this site is horrible...
