We have a TS-QVH8.

Download the firmware 1.24.  It came with a program TSupdater to updated the device.  TSupdater cannot find the device.  Nowhere to put in the IP address within TSupdater to find the device.

We have 2 subnets, the main subnet has all the servers and PCs (even the VMs) connected to it.

Second subnet is for the SAN and this is where the TS-QVH8 is connected.  The VM which I am running the TSupdater has both subnets connected to it.  But yet the TSupdater cannot find the TS-QVH8.  I can ping the device and browse to it.  I have a direct connection to the device, not going through routers.

Can the TSupdater be told to look on another subnet?  Or better yet to look/talk at a specific IP address?

Thank
Have a good day.

What OS is running on the VM? If NAS Navigator is installed on the VM does it see the TeraStation?

Assuming the VM is running some version of Windows, try disabling the Windows firewall.
