LINKSTATION PRO 2: FILE TRASFER FAILS EVERYTIME THAT A NEW SHARED IS CREATED

Hi all,

 

I am transfering files to the linkstation and at the same time I am creating other shared folders in the linkstation. Whenever I do this, the file trasfer stops and I get an error saying that the network path wasn't found.

Using win xp pro sp3.

What firmware Version do you have?  What is the Exact Model number of your unit?

Another thing is that the power led and the network led are blinking continuously, it doesn't seams to be any kind of sequence, they have been blinking for at least a week, after I upgraded the firmware from 3.07.

The linkstation did a raid check (I changed from raid 0 to 1) and it took about 12 hours, after that, it started blinking .

After the firmware update finished and the RAID check finished go to Maitence>Initilization>Restore.

I forgot to mention that I had to do a forced firmware update, including "rebuild partition table".

I spent quite a bit of time creating new shares and settings,will the "Initialization->restore" delete all my settings?
