Dear Buffalo and everyone!

I used a TeraStationPro with 4x500Gb SATA Hard drive.I setup my TeraStation running with raid 5(1.48Gb).

All my system running with UPS and Switch 1000mbps(linksys),i using Windows Vista.

today,1 of 4 hdd,it die,and i changed one new hdd for my tera

I don't know how to make my system working normal and I afraid I can lose my data in Tera and i still not turn on my tera.

Hope Buffalo company or everyone can show me how to make it run!Thank you very much.Best regards .Thanh

Please post the model number for your TS when posting.

All that you should need to do is replace the drive and log into the web interface of the TS.  Go to disk managment> RAID configuration, select the array and put a check next to the disk that you replaced.  Then click restructure raid array.  DO NOT rebuild the array or you will lose your data.

Do exactly what PCPiranha says.  I had to do the same thing in Feburary and it worked great.  It did take overnight for it to finish but I never knew what happened the next day.

Don't worry.

As long as the LCD don't say anything abt "Cant Mount" or shows all four HDDs in red stable LEDs, your data are still there.

Do what PCPiranha says and then let it resync for abt a day or at most two.

If that doesn't solve the problem, please highlight the problems you are able to see and whether there are any blinking LEDs or beeps.
