issues setting up security on the Link Station LSWV4.0TLR1

I have having issues setting up security on the Link Station LSWV4.0TLR1 firmware version 1.62
When I try to connect to the shares I have created the only user it will accept is admin.
This what I did to set up security,
1.   Under users I created a user and under groups I created a group and made the user I made a part of this group.
2.   Under shared folders I created a share and selected Windows, Apple and Sftp ( I am using a windows 7 computer for the setup)
3.   I clicked on Access Restrictions and added the group then changed permissions. I also tried this adding a user instead of group)
4.   When Browse the share it challenges me for a user name and password. At this point only the admin user will work (I also tried devicename\username and this did not help)

Updated firmware, buffalotech.com/downloads/

delete the share and try again. See if you can login to the unit with the user you created. If its a basic user they should only see one tab where they can change there password and thats it.

Updating the firmware did the trick thanks. By the way the down load page has changed to http://buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/downloads.
